About the event

Telling it Like It's Lived is a monthly true-story open mic night. Each month, writers, speakers, poets, and anyone with a true story to share, have 3-5 minutes to share their true story loosely inspired by the month's themes. Stories might make us laugh, cry, think, wonder, do.

It's a great event where people can make friends, listen and share stories, develop confidence, and more. The open mic is free, all are welcome, and light refreshments are served.

Sponsored and supported by Kirklees Libraries. Hosted by Sarah Preston and Yvonne Battle-Felton.

It's not necessary to order free tickets. If you'd like a 3-5 minute storytelling open mic slot, please contact Yvonne through here or social media or Sarah at Dewsbury Library.
