Introducing Book-Able Space Middle-Grade Reader Book Club!

Updated: Feb 6

I'm really excited to launch Book-Able Space, a free, online book club for middle grade readers age 8-12!

What is it?

A free online monthly book club for kids aged 8-12.

Where will we meet?

Bookable Space Middle-Grade Reader Facebook Page

How does it work?

Week 1: Read

Week 2: Read

Week 3: Read and Reflect: What questions would you like to ask the author? (up to three)

Week 4: Tune in. Watch the online Book Club Saturday at 1:30 PM. The talk with the author will be broadcast on Facebook live. (Book-Able Space Middle-Grade Book Club) You can also watch on YouTube. We’ll also announce next month’s book.

When will we meet the author?

Authors and the host will chat in Zoom on the last Saturday of the month at 1:30. You can watch live or later on Facebook or YouTube.

What sort of questions can we ask the author?

Anything within reason. We might ask about the ending, about something we didn’t understand, or something we wanted more (or less) of. We might ask how they wrote it, what’s next, about the characters, or anything in between. To pose your questions to the author, comment on the “question for the author post.” The author will try to answer as many questions as possible. To pose questions to the book club, post them in the book’s reader questions/comments section.

How much does it cost?

It’s free to participate. Most of the books will be available through the library and/or local bookstores.

How do I sign up?

To participate in the month’s book club, get and read the book through the month. Register to watch the live event, like the Bookable Space Middle-Grade Reader page and/or subscribe for notifications. And that’s it.

You'll find the month's author and their book located in the "events" tab.

Happy Reading!

I love talking to people and hearing their stories. So for me, there's something magical about a space where writers read from their books and talk about the writing, their influences, and their publi
